Anne Boleyn
Channel 5, 2021

A reimagining of Anne Boleyn’s life and legacy through a feminist lens – her struggle to conceive a boy, her pushback against the patriarchal society she was born into, her desire to secure a future for her daughter, Elizabeth, and the brutal reality of her failure to provide Henry with a male heir.
Directed BAFTA winning filmmaker Lynsey Miller (Deadwater Fell, The Boy with the Topknot) with cast including Jodie Turner- Smith (Queen & Slim, After Yang), Kris Hitchen (Sorry we Missed You, Trigger Point), Lola Petticrew (A Bump along the Way, Bloodlands) and Thalissa Teixeira (Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, We Met Before).
Intimacy Coordinator
Ita O’Brien for Intimacy On Set
“We also were very lucky, we have an amazing intimacy coordinator. And whether it was kissing or nudity, it was always chatted through, moment to moment,” she says, adding that she felt ‘very safe’. I had a chat with Ita and Jodie had a chat with Ita. Then we talked to Lynsey [Miller, the director] and just tried to suss out what it was we were trying to get from the scene. And yeah, it felt very safe and definitely, you know, necessary.” (Lola Petticrew)
