Education

We are dedicated to educating students, teachers and professionals in best practice when it comes to creating intimate content.

As a pioneering, varied and complex industry, intimacy best practice relies on the sharing of knowledge throughout all sectors of the industry and is an essential part of the work we do at Intimacy On Set.

For Students

Intimacy Teaching in Drama Schools, Film Schools and Universities

We offer bespoke in-person workshops and online sessions for students in higher education who are studying performing arts or other related subjects.

Our sessions aim to educate students on how to be consent-aware artists. We share the Intimacy On Set guidelines in order for them to incorporate this learning into their own developing practices, as well as working on a scene that contains intimacy to offer a pathway to putting the guidelines into practice.

For Teachers

CPD in Intimacy Best Practice for Teachers in Drama Schools, Film Schools and Universities

While it’s important to educate students on best practice when it comes to intimacy, we offer CPD workshops and introductory training to teachers, lecturers and associate artists across drama departments in higher education institutions.

Our CPD sessions offer people an insight into how to train consent-aware artists using consent-based learning practices and by implementing the Intimacy On Set guidelines. We offer consultancy and guidance on incorporating the guidelines across the arc of three year BA programmes, one and two year MA/MFA programmes and beyond. Our intention is to support staff to embed the practice of agreement and consent within their educational institutions

Secondary Schools

Intimacy Workshops and CPD for Best Practice in Secondary Schools

Our offer to secondary schools proposes to equip staff and institutions with the necessary skills to discuss consent, boundaries and relationships. We provide a range of videos that highlight key SRE topics for PSHE using examples from film and television to engage students from 11 to18 years old.

On a more specific basis, we offer CPD to drama teachers to empower them with the Intimacy On Set guidelines, so that they can educate consent-aware students and embed best practice within their classrooms.

In addition, we also run in-person workshops with drama students for GCSE and A-Level, sharing the Intimacy On Set guidelines and working to choreograph an intimate scene.

Industry

Intimacy Workshops and CPD for Production Companies & Creative Institutions

For production companies, producers, agents, heads of departments, heads of institutions and beyond, we offer a sharing of the guidelines within your company to empower your team with the skills and understanding necessary for working with intimate content.

These workshops include a sharing of the Intimacy On Set guidelines, and will equip those working in arts institutions with knowledge about power dynamics, how to hold safe spaces, how to notice activation, and when to outsource to an intimacy practitioner. The idea is to create a professional industry that is conscious and understanding of what it means to create safe and compelling intimate content and how to work with an intimacy practitioner.
