Based on DC Comics’ Batman character, Pennyworth reveals the origin story of the Wayne family’s legendary butler, a former British SAS soldier. Caught up in a conflict between American agent Thomas Wayne and the shadowy Raven Society in post war London, Alfred’s side job as a security consultant brings him to the attention of local crime lord John Ripper.
Directed and created by Bruno Heller (Gotham, The Mentalist), starring Jack Bannon (The Imitation Game, Endeavour), Ryan Fletcher (Beats, Outlander) and Dorothy Atkinson (Call the Midwife, London’s Burning).
