The Pursuit of Love

Set in Europe between the two World Wars, the story follows the adventures and misadventures of charismatic, fearless Linda and her best friend and cousin Fanny. Consumed by a desire for love and marriage, the two women are on the hunt for the ideal husbands. Their friendship is put to the test as Fanny settles for a steady life whilst Linda decides to follow her heart to increasingly wild and outrageous places.
Created by Emily Mortimer (Mary Poppins Returns, Lars and the Real Girl) with cast including Lily James (Mamma Mia: Here we go Again, Rebecca), Emily Beecham (Daphne, Hail Caesar!)) and Dominic West (The Wire, The Crown).

It’s almost like choreographing a dance, and we spoke at length with her, and I thought of great moments in sex scenes that I’ve loved in movies, and I used that a bit and we kind of put them all together.” (Emily Mortimer)
