Watchmen (2019)

Winner of 11 Emmy Awards and set in an alternate 1985 America, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original ground-breaking graphic novel where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws. After a white supremacist attack on the local police department, which leaves only two surviving officers on the beat, laws are passed that allow the police to hide their identities behind masks. One of these, Detective Angela Abar, adopts the identity of Sister Night to investigate the reemergence of a white supremacist terrorist group inspired by the long-deceased moral absolutist Rorschach.

Directed by Emmy winning filmmaker Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers) with multi-award winning cast including Regina King (If Beale Street Could Talk, The Harder They Fall), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Candyman, Aquaman) and Tom Mison (Sleepy Hollow, See).
